Build an electronic Light Theremin and translate light into sound. Vicky Clarke from Noise Orchestra, UK will teach you how to build a simple light theremin oscillator circuit with an on-board amplifier using a breadboard, cmos chips and electronic components. No soldering required!
The workshop is for beginners and contains all electronic components. You’ll learn how to breadboard a circuit, about each component, the circuit signal flow and test out performance methods of using light to make sound. The kit includes breadboard, battery, speaker, amplifier and oscillator chips, potentiometer and other components to make and improvise with the circuit. This circuit will be made on breadboard so you can modify the circuit to create different sounds and extend ways to perform with the circuit. Bring some lights to test the circuits: phones, bike lights, coloured led torches, etc.
